New North Grounds Rec Center Open for Business (for the most part)

After a number of delays and setback, the doors of the newly renovated and expanded North Grounds Recreation Center opened to the public on January 5, 2014. Construction was supposed to start in February 2012 and finish in August 2013. The expansion includes a multimedia spinning room for drop-in fitness classes, a multipurpose room, two international squash courts, and a new pool deck (not yet open to the public) that houses a whirlpool, dry sauna, and a ten lane 25 yard by…
